Captain Quags has been fishing and crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay since 1996. In 2003, Captain Quags and his family moved to the Wye River, where he has spent countless hours exploring the Eastern Shore's waterways and all they have to offer. Captain Quags retired from the Federal Government after serving 26 years in law enforcement and has since made Wyerest Charters his passion.

Our Story

November 1, 2018: We have finished crabbing for the season and we had an outstanding year.  Thank you to all of our customers who crabbed with us. We hope to see you next year.  On the fishing front, we are finding  schools of breaking fish throughout Eastern Bay down to Poplar Island. We have limited dates available for light tackle fishing through the next 2 weeks.  Currently at WyeRest Farm, the deer are in pre rut and moving towards full rut. We have very limited bow hunts available through November 23rd. Finally, our timber pond is holding wood ducks and we are offering an exclusive opening day wood duck hunt for November 10th.  Contact us for details.
